A significant % of useful data is locked away in tough-to-parse formats like PDFs. We build tools to extract it, like Surya (15k Github stars), and Marker (19k stars). We do meaningful research (we’ve trained several SoTA models), ship product, and contribute to open source.
We recently raised a seed round that included founding members of OpenAI, FAIR, and Huggingface. We have a strong technical team and wide adoption.

Salary range - $250k - $350k | Equity - 1.5% - 3% | In-person NYC
We’re looking for a senior fullstack engineer. You’ll work across our open source repos, inference API, and website frontend.
We believe in the simplest possible technology that gets the job done. Our stack is FastAPI (Python) for the backend and frontend, with some light HTMX and JS sprinkled in. We use postgres and redis, and deploy to render.
